Alainie started dancing at the age of three with J's Dance Studio and The Dance Connection. She began her time at Artistry in Motion upon opening and she took as many classes as possible. These classes included hip hop, tap, jazz, modern and contemporary as well as ballet classes with her mother, Dawn Crawford. Along with her dance education at AIM, she added ballet classes with Tag West in Green River where she had the opportunity to perform in the Nutcracker in many roles including Clara and Sugar Plum Fairy. She also performed in Copplia.
Alainie danced with the Tiger Rhythm Dance Team for three years and acted as team captain her senior year. During these years she attended dance conventions with USA, NDA, Summer Slam and other workshops.
The summer before her senior year, Alainie attended a month long dance convention at the University of Utah. Here she took ballet every day and was also able to take jazz, modern, hip hop, yoga, African dance, Irish step dance and other genre.
After high school, Alainie majored in ballet at Utah Valley University where she successfully matriculated into the dance program by the end of her first year.
Alainie has continued her dance, choreographing and performing en pointe with the studio and other entities. She considers dance a mainstay in her life and is happy to be back with Artistry in Motion.
