Katherine Skinner

Katherine Skinner began her passion for dance at the age of four in Tremonton, Utah with Tanglewood Studios. She began her dancing in the art of ballet and jazz. As she grew up, she enrolled in a competition team for many years. With this step forward in her dance career, she also learned lyrical and hip-hop.
In 2014, Katherine and her family moved to Green River, Wyoming. Katherine's flame for dance did not burn out due to the move. During her high school years, Katherine was a part of her high school dance team for four years and danced at Artistry in Motion. Apart from dance teams, Katherine was able to use her dancing ability to assist with her high school theatre in choreography. As she found a love for a variety of dance styles, during her senior year the passion of ballroom dancing sparked.
After graduation, Katherine attended Southern Utah University. As she attended college to continue her education, she was not ready to say goodbye to dance. Thanks to her recent spark of ballroom, Katherine joined the SUU's Ballroom Team. Aside from ballroom, Katherine was a part of a variety of organizations during her college years.
In the Winter of 2021, Katherine started a new chapter when she received her Associates in General Studies from Southern Utah University and accepted a job position within the school district. She is continuing her education by attending Western Governors University to major in Special Education. Aside from her schooling, Miss Katherine is beyond excited to enter back into the world of dance to be one of our instructors for our JBTs here at Artistry in Motion.
