Daylan Smith was born and raised in Rock Springs, Wyoming. She began dancing at the age of 2 and fell madly in love with dance since then! Daylan has traveled to and attended various dance camps, conventions, clinics, and workshops which have helped her to be experienced in genres such as pointe, ballet, jazz, tap, hip-hop, heels, pom, kick-line, and Polynesian style dance. She trained at various local studios before finding her forever home at Artistry in Motion. She danced for the Rock Springs High school Tiger Rhythm Dance Team from 2019-2023. Daylan and her team won two state championships and placed 13th in the nation at UDA nationals.
Now that Daylan’s high school dance career has come to an end she has moved on to pursue her college studies!. Her first year of college she attended Utah tech university in St. George Utah, where she studied various aspects of dance and pursued her dream of art and marketing. While living in St. George, Daylan took many drop-in classes and choreographed a hip-hop piece as well. Daylan has just moved back to Wyoming and is pursuing her studies at Western Wyoming Community College. Daylan will now be coaching Artistry in Motions Pom Class!
