Alainie started dancing at the age of three with J's Dance Studio and then with Lorrie Revelli at The Dance Connection. She began her time at Artistry in Motion when they opened and took as many classes as possible. These classes included hip hop, tap, jazz, modern and contemporary as well as ballet classes with her mother, Dawn Crawford at Artistry. Along with her dance education at AIM, she added ballet classes with Tag West in Green River where she had the opportunity to perform in the Nutcracker in many roles including Clara and Sugar Plum Fairy. She also performed in Copelia.
Alainie danced with the Tiger Rhythm Dance Team for three years and acted as team captain her senior year. During these years she attended dance conventions with USA, NDA, Summer Slam and other workshops.
The summer before her senior year, Alainie attended a month long dance intensive at the University of Utah in collaboration with Ballet West. Here she took ballet every day and was also able to take jazz, modern, hip hop, yoga, African dance, Irish step dance and other genre from professional dancers such as Katherine Lawrence and Annie Breneman, principal dancers at Ballet West.
After high school, Alainie majored in ballet at Utah Valley University where she successfully matriculated into the dance program by the end of her first year.
Alainie has continued her dance, choreography and performing en pointe with the studio and other entities.
Alainie considers dance a mainstay in her life and is happy to be back with Artistry in Motion. She has instructed hip hop, technique classes and is now teaching Ballet 1, 2, 3, 4, and 5.
