Katherine Skinner began her passion for dance at the age of four in Tremonton, Utah with TangleWood Studios. She started with the styles of jazz, ballet, and tap. As her dance career grew, she was on the competition team in jazz, lyrical and hip hop.
In 2014, Katherine and her family moved to Green River, Wyoming. She was determined to continue her love for dance, despite the move, and started right into a competition (jazz and hip hop) team. As she attended Green River High School, she was a four year member of the Wolf Pack Dance Team, where she served as an advisor/choreographer for their yearly Kids Camp Fundraiser as well as co-captain for two years. Apart from dancing at the high school, she enrolled at Artistry in Motion in dance styles of contemporary and ballroom.
After high school graduation, Katherine attended Southern Utah University. While attending school, she danced with SUU’s Ballroom Team and was a member of a variety of organizations, including but not limited to, Community Attache and Student Association Academic Senator. Katherine graduated with her Associates in General Studies from 2021 and returned to Sweetwater County.
Since her arrival, Katherine currently works within the school district and continues her personal education at Western Governors University dual majoring in Elementary Education (K-6) and Special Education (K-12.) She also assists GRHS Theatre Department as a choreographer with their musical and state performances.
Miss Katherine is beyond excited to proceed to teach our Jazz, Ballet and Tap (JBT) Program, Jazz 1, Tiny Tumbles, and also assists in our Acro Program. She is thrilled to begin teaching Hip Hop 1 and extend her dance education by coaching an Intensive Team. Welcome back Miss Katherine back for her 3rd year!
