Yadi Vicencio began her love of dance at Artistry In Motion Dance Studio at the age of 4. She studied various genres of dance including, jazz, contemporary, hip hop, ballet and pointe. At the age of 10 she started competing with the studio’s intensive teams and fell in love with showcasing her talent alongside her teammates. Yadi was a member of the Rock Springs Tiger Rhythm Dance Team for 3 years, with a state championship jazz title in 2018, and championship titles in hip hop and jazz the following year in 2019. She was a three time award letter winner and an All-State Dancer in 2019. She has attended many workshops and camps over the years including Rap it Up, Summer Slam and NDA Dance camps. Yadi earned many superior awards in her performances including Dance America’s Summer Slam Top 10 Seniors in 2016, 2nd Attendant Senior Overall Soloist at a Relevé Nationals Competition in 2018, a Judge’s Choice Award in 2018 and an All-American Nominee in 2019.
Yadi is currently going to school at Western Wyoming Community College majoring in Criminal Justice. She will be working in the front office at AIM along with teaching jazz and hip hop classes. She is very excited to share her creativity with children and continue her love of dance.
